Pinot Noir red wine is the perfect pairing with cranberries and your thanksgiving meal. The addition of red wine and a hint of orange liqueur will make your cranberry sauce sauced!
So I told ya'll I was gonna be trying a bourbon in my cranberry sauce, but I took a detour.

A nice Greek inspired side: Spinach orzo topped with feta
Why is this a Foodgasm?
There are some Greek classics that I just love. I'm not talking about literature or democracy...I'm talking Greek food. A staple in my home growing up was spanakopita aka spinach pie. Savory, salty crunchy and creamy: this was my favorite. Especially the way my grandmother made it, with some rice inside. It is basically phyllo dough filled with spinach, onions and garlic, sometimes with rice.
This is sort of a deconstructed take on the classic spinach pie. Some orzo topped with roasted garlic, onion and sautéed spinach and brightened up with some lemon juice all covered in some crumbled feta cheese. It's vegetarian, delicious and satisfying!
PS- I HATE looking in the ingredients when following a recipe's instructions, let me know if you like this new formatting and if it helps.

Strawberries with Balsamic and Goat Cheese
Why is this a Foodgasm?
Why just add strawberries to lettuce for a salad, why not have a salad/ dessert? The sweetness of the strawberries mingles with the tart vinegar and together they kind of boost up the flavor of one another, like a delicious high-5. Add in that little bit of goat cheese for some salty and creaminess and now you got the FULL effect, Sweet, Salty, Tart and Creamy! This also happens to be incredibly easy, delicious. quick and healthy!

Six Point Diesel Brussels Sprouts with Bacon
Why is this a Foodgasm?
So I knew I had to make fresh brussels sprouts, it came to me on a visit to a Brewery in the Financial District of NYC. They served brussels sprouts with bacon. Well duh...bacon makes everything better! Aside from that I thought this is just an excellent side you got your guilt free veggie so you know what...it's totally okay to add a little bacon for favor. A little bacon goes a loooong way!But how do I give this my own signature Foodgasm flair? ADD BEER! Not just any beer, but Sixpoint Diesel. I heart Sixpoint mostly because they know good design, but also because they have a nice selection of brews. I used their Diesel an interesting combo of a black IPA and American Stout. Not usually a dark beer lover, this one is great since there is no real bitter aftertaste.
It is amazing how the beer really infused the sprouts, then when it reduced it added a sweetness. Then you got some salty awesomely yummy bacon and YES you just landed smack on top of a Foodgasm!

Sweet Spring Slaw with Creamy Pineapple Dressing
Why this is a Foodgasm? Regular cole slaw has been played out-
this is a sweet and slightly savory version of the classic absolutely
perfect for a spring or summer barbeque. The creamy pineapple dressing bring in more sweet but also adds a little savory aspect making this the perfect replacement to that old boring slaw!
